Delphi, Greece
One of the most popular archaeological sites in Greece is found in the upper central region of the country. There are numerous day tours available to Delphi from Athens. When you visit, you will enter the Sanctuary of Apollo, where you will see the famous Temple of Apollo with the Altar of the Chains and Tholos of Delphi, you will also see the Stadium where the athletic competitions were once held. The modern town Delphi is located just a few kilometres west of the ancient archaeological site.
