Aegina Island, Greece
Aegina can be found in Saronic Gulf, just 27km from Athens. A highlight of a trip here is a visit to the Aphaea Temple, which was built around 490BC. It is part of a sanctuary that was dedicated to the Goddess Aphaea. Included in this sanctuary is Parthenon and Temple of Poseidon at Sounion. Like the other islands, you can take a ferry or hydrofoil from Piraeus Port.
