As one of the oldest cities in Albania, Shkodra has a large history dating back to the 4th century. After World War 2, Shkodra had to rebuild. The streets became wider and residential buildings were built. They did manage to keep its overall unique characteristics of tall stone walls, gates, and in some areas, narrow streets. Why not visit the Rozafa Castle, Kisha e Madhe, the largest Catholic cathedral in the Balkans? Take a romantic walk along the Molo Promenade. The easiest way to reach Shkodra is by bus from Tirana.
