Nature is certainly the greatest artist in the world. Its creations are unsurpassed, and part of its incredible abundance can be seen on a adventure through six Croatian national parks. Visit Plitvice Lakes, the world-famous national park, whose sixteen smaller and greater lakes connected with cascades and waterfalls will simply leave you lost for words. In the heart of the Gorski kotar region lies the Risnjak National Park, an oasis of natural beauty and a natural habitat for the lynx, wolf and bear, while the Velebit mountain is home to two more national parks: Northern Velebit will enchant you with its botanical park with rare alpine plant species, and Paklenica will show off its wealth of geomorphological forms, its diverse flora and fauna and the pristine beauty of its nature. Another very special experience awaits you as well – a visit to the bear cub shelter in Kuterevo. Discover once more the beauty, importance and greatness of nature, and all its creations and creatures.
