Similarly, in Oltenita, Bucharest-ship transfer, city tour of Bucharest and Bucharest-airport transfers are included in the price on the condition that passengers will join passengers bound for Paris.

Vessel Description:

Cabins:
MS Arosa has large and very comfortable cabins. They are spread over three decks (Navigation, Main & Upper deck), all outside and finely decorated in a warm, intimate and modern style. All cabins have twin beds. They all a television connected with a GPS navigation system to track the ship in progress, safe, bathrooms equipped with a large shower, toilet, sink and hair dryer. Air-conditioning and climate control are individually adjustable.

Cabin Sizes:
Navigation Deck – 15m2 in with large picture windows and a sofa that can serve as extra bed.
On Main Deck – 16m² with French balcony.
Upper Deck – 16.5m² with large picture windows.

Restaurant & Dining – Diverse Culinary Treats:
All meals are proposed in Buffet style. Mineral water is provided for free at each meal. A large selection of local and French wines is on offer (with charge). Sitting is totally free for a specified time range. It is also possible to sit on the outside deck (40 seats) weather permitting.

Onboard Facilities & Entertainment:
There is a lot of space available for relaxation and recreation as well as for fitness and well-being. There is an outdoor pool on the sun deck and shuffleboard and a putting green. You can relax on deck or lie down on a deck chair. Enjoy the lovely panorama views whilst sunbathing.
There is cardiovascular equipment in the fitness room. During the numerous shore trips, you can keep fit with cycling in beautiful countryside (bikes are to be rented on board). After that, you’ll have earned yourself the right to enjoy a spot of lazing in a lounger!

CRUISE ITINERARY

Day 1:  Munich – Passau (Germany)

Reception at the airport followed by guided tour of Munich (see specific conditions). Discovery of the main attractions of the city: Town hall square and its adjacent streets, the cathedral and the “Residenz”, the famous Maximilian Street. After the city tour, bus transfer to Passau and embarkation on board of M/S Arosa. Welcoming cocktail and dinner on board. At 10:00pm, start of navigation to Linz.

Day 2:  Linz (Austria)

Arrive in the early morning at Linz. Time at leisure in Linz or join an optional excursion: “Art Cities of Bohemia“ €80. Optional guided tour of Linz: €20. Optional Tour in Salzburg: €75.

Day 3:  Melk (Austria)

After breakfast, free time or optional excursion to the Abbey of Melk and Dürnstein: €45. Then, navigation through the exceptional landscapes of the Wachau Valley, where the meandering Danube offers a parade of verdant nature.

Day 4:  Vienna (Austria)

After breakfast, half day exploring the wonders of Vienna, once the centre of the mighty Habsburg Empire. Experience the lavish Hofburg Palace, Vienna Opera, the famous Ringstrasse and spectacular St Stephen’s Cathedral (from outside). Afternoon free or optional tour to Schönbrunn: €40. Optional Music concert: €60.

Day 5:  Bratislava (Slovakia)

Arrive around 7:00 am in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. After breakfast, guided tour of the city. Wander the paved streets of its elegant Old Town to gaze at its 15th-century Town Hall and pretty Mirbach Palace, before admiring the Gothic St Martin’s Cathedral, where many Hungarian Kings were crowned. Optional tour to Cerveny Kamen Castle: €45. At noon, sail towards Budapest. Lunch on board.

Day 6:  Budapest (Hungary)

Half day guided tour of the city. Straddling the banks of the Danube, with no less than seven bridges connecting Buda on the East bank to Pest on the West. Highlights include the fairytale-turreted Fisherman’s Bastion from which you can enjoy stunning views over the cityscape, the castle, the Heroes square and other interesting sights. Optional excursion on the Sezchenyi Baths: €38. Optional Excursion “Uncommon Budapest”: €40.

Day 7:  Novi Sad (Serbia)

Arrival in Novi Sad in the early afternoon. Novi Sad is the capital of the autonomous region of Vojvodina. Optional excursion: guided tour of the city: €20.

Day 8:  Belgrade (Serbia)

Guided tour of the city. Standing at the confluence of the Danube and Sava Rivers, Belgrade is bustling and vibrant. This elegant city is a feast for sightseers, with numerous historic monuments, the mighty Kalemegdan fortress, the Republic Square and Mihailovic Street. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, time at leisure or take the optional Topola Excursion: visit of the tiny city of Topola: €45. Optional dinner at Skadarlija: €40.

Day 9:  Sailing through the Iron Gates Gorge

A day of spectacular scenery awaits you. Passing memorable such as the coloured Serbian fortresses of Golubac and Smederevo, as well as Trajan’s Tablet, a remarkable rock side tablet carved by the Romans to commemorate their crossing of the Danube. Today’s highpoint is when the ship passes through the dramatic Iron Gates Gorge, a narrow steep-sided ravine, which forms a natural border between Serbia & Romania. Lunch and dinner on board.

Day 10:  Orjahovo (Bulgaria)

Early morning, ship docks in the small port of Orjahovo on the Bulgarian Bank of the Danube. Free exploration of the city and lunch on board or Full day optional excursion to Sofia (lunch included): Visit of the city, the main arteries of the centre, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Archaeological Museum, €85. Dinner on board.

Day 11:  Rousse (Bulgaria)

After breakfast, discovery of Rousse on your own with lunch on board or Optional excursion to Veliko Tirnovo (lunch included): You will enjoy this full day excursion to admire Bulgaria’s ancient capital, a natural fortress standing on three hills above the Yantra River: €75. The nearby village of Arbanassi is best known for its exquisitely decorations. Captain’s Dinner on board. Departure at 11pm.

Day 12:  Oltenita – Bucharest (Romania)

Arrival around 6 am. Breakfast on board. Disembark the ship at Oltenita, and then transfer to Romania’s lively capital, Bucharest (see “Included in price”). Influenced by Parisian style, Bucharest has wide, tree-lined boulevards, elegant buildings and its very own Arc de Triomphe. The city is home to exquisite churches, bustling cafés and some magnificent architecture from the colossal, Soviet-style, Parliament Palace to the classical and stately Royal Palace (outside views). Transfer to the airport for your return flight (see “Included in price”).
