Cruising with vintage motor-sailing ships along the magnificent Southern Dalmatian coastline & islands

For this trip all you will need is a few T-shirts and a swimming costume to spend seven unforgettable days sailing on the Southern Adriatic Sea from one island to another. Relax and let the captain and his crew (especially the cook) take care of you. During the day you can swim, snorkel, sunbathe, and explore the underworld of the Adriatic Sea. The evenings you have free to find a good restaurant or discover old churches or other historical monuments…

•Most cabins are bunk beds (below and on deck), double beds on request basis but not guaranteed
•On Deck Cabins are situated on main and top deck
•Compact Cabins with clean bed linen
•Two towels for personal use supplied
•Towels can be rented for €3 & beach towels €5 per week
•Ships vary in size with most carrying between 20 – 40 passengers
•The Captain reserves the right to change the route in the case of bad weather or other conditions

FULL ITINERARY

Day 1, Wednesday:  Zagreb

Upon arrival at Zagreb Airport, transfer to hotel. Meet the tour guide, dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 2, Thursday:  Zagreb – Plitvice

Morning city tour of Zagreb, includes the fortified Upper Town, city’s historical centre, St Mark’s Church with its multicoloured roof, the Cathedral, Croatian National Theatre and University. After the city tour drive to Plitvice, tour the Plitvice Lakes National Park on the UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage. Sixteen lakes, each at a different level, are joined in a series of cascading waterfalls. Surrounded by dense wood Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice. (B, D)

Day 3, Friday:  Plitvice – Trogir – Split

Morning departure for Trogir where we visit the Cathedral of St Lawrence. Continuation to Split for a city tour including the Diocletian’s Palace – on the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage with Peristyle, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Split. (B, D)

Day 4, Saturday:  Split – Dubrovnik

After breakfast, depart for Dubrovnik. Sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik included in the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. You will visit the Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik. (B, D)

Day 5, Sunday:  Dubrovnik

After breakfast, the land tour ends with a transfer to Dubrovnik port to join your vessel for the cruise of the Southern Adriatic. The vessel will be available for check in from 1.00pm. You may want to use this afternoon to further explore and perhaps wine in dine in style in the romantic setting of the Pearl of the Adriatic. Dinner and overnight onboard. (B, D)

Day 6, Monday:  Dubrovnik – Island Of Korčula

During breakfast we depart for Island of Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. Lunch on board in front of Lumbarda. Arrive in Korčula in the afternoon where you are free to do your own sightseeing or join an optional sightseeing tour. On this island you can find more legends, tales and monuments than anywhere else.  Overnight is in Korčula town. (B, L)

Day 7, Tuesday:  Island Of Korčula – Island Of Hvar

Early in the morning we depart towards the little Island of Šćedro where we will take time to relax and refresh in the clear, crystal blue sea. We depart for the Island of Hvar after lunch. Hvar is the longest island in the Adriatic, and here we can find the Renaissance Cathedral with its original tower; also the oldest community theatre in Europe was founded here in 1612. Hvar town offers plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes that are open long into the night. (B, L)

Day 8, Wednesday:  Island Of Hvar – Trstenik

We leave Island of Hvar and continue our cruise towards the little town of Trstenik on Pelješac peninsula. The coastline along the town and the neighbouring inlets are covered by groves of pine, offering fine ambience for swimming. The famous Grgić winery is situated here, take a walk and taste some of their lovely wine! (B, L)

Day 9, Thursday:  Trstenik – Island Of Mljet

After breakfast we continue our journey towards the island and National Park Mljet. The whole afternoon is free to visit the salt lakes and enjoy the sun and sea on this peaceful island. In the middle of the large lake, inside the National Park, one can visit an old abbey and church, or just use a small boat to roam around the National Park. Here you can rent bicycles and cycle around the lakes. Overnight is in Polača/Pomena. (B, L)

Day 10, Friday:  Island Of Mljet – Island Of Šipan

Early in the morning we continue our trip towards the Elafiti Islands. Elafiti are a group of islands situated along the Adriatic Coat west of Dubrovnik. The largest is Šipan. Others belonging to the group are Lopud and Koločep (Kalamota). They attract many tourists with their beautiful scenery and sandy beaches. Swimming and lunch is at one of the smaller non inhabited islands. We overnight in Šipan. (B, L)

Day 11, Saturday:  Island Of Šipan – Dubrovnik

An early departure for Dubrovnik, with breakfast on route. Enjoy the beautiful sights of nature along the way towards “the Pearl of the Adriatic”. We will arrive to Dubrovnik early in the morning and have a whole day to explore Dubrovnik on an optional guided sightseeing tour of the city. An optional bus excursion to Montenegro is also available, visit this small attractive country with its magnificent mountains rising above the Adriatic Sea, filled with natural beauty and historic towns like Budva and Kotor – passport is required. Overnight is in the Gruž port of this magical town. (B, L)

Day 12, Sunday:  Dubrovnik

After early breakfast we say goodbye to our vessel as we are transferred to Dubrovnik airport for your outbound journey. (B)
