Day 1, Saturday: Dubrovnik – Korčula

We depart Dubrovnik at 1300hrs and cruise towards Korčula, the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo, also known as the “Black Island“, due to the vast pine forests that once covered almost the entire island. Surrounded by medieval walls Korčula Town resembles a miniature Dubrovnik, and is the only place in the world where the Spanish medieval knight’s game, Moreška is still performed. Enjoy a stroll through the narrow streets of the Old Town with your local guide, where you can find many konobas, restaurants, cocktail bars and night clubs. (L)

Day 2, Sunday: Korčula – Metković

Cruise to Metković, situated on the bank of great River Neretva, followed by a barge ride to explore more of this wonderful scenery known for mandarin plantations. Visit Vid and the archaeological museum Narona, formally inaugurated in 2007 as the first “in situ“ museum in Croatia exhibiting the remains of a Roman temple, the Augusteum and 17 marble statues, both outsized and in natural height. Discover places where the ancient Illyrians, Greeks and Romans once sailed, and the pirates of Neretva planned their raids of enemy galleys. Discover the allure of one of the last swamps on the European continent, its flora and fauna, the diversity of wild birds and the traditional lifestyle of the Neretva people. Captain’s dinner with live entertainment onboard is planned here in the evening. (B, L, D)

Day 3, Monday: Metković – Split

From Metković our cruise continues to Split, the UNESCO protected capital of Dalmatian region and the second largest city in Croatia that was once the palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Upon arrival, local guide will take us for a walk through the bustling Old Town centre and the market. Overnight in the port. (B, L)

Day 4, Tuesday: Split – Krka Waterfalls – Šibenik

This morning we cruise towards Skradin from where we will visit famous Bibich winery for wine tasting and light tapas lunch.
