A charming motor yacht with comfortable cabins and a traditional selection of cuisine is your floating home for the week. Packing your bags and worrying about making your next ferry connection are a thing of the past. Limitless exciting cycling opportunities across Dalmatia’s most beautiful islands is guaranteed. No trails will go undiscovered on this off road adventure, your guide knows the region like the back of his own hand and will inform you well on the land and its people.
Our aim is to stay off road. To save time and energy some ascends will take place on tar sealed roads which lead to rewarding trails down to the sea. Descents can be technical and require experience but will spread a smile across the faces of the participants. After a thorough ride there is no better reward than to unwind in a rustic café before the boat collects you and brings you to the next picturesque setting. Picture perfect harbour towns invite you to enjoy the evening strolling through the winding streets or sipping an aperitif in the atmosphere of a local bar.
Starting in 2016 this tour is offered exclusively as a mountain bike tour, optimized for the athletic requirements of a mountain biker. Every tour is guided by two MTB guides, who will give their best effort to provide tours at varying levels of difficulty.

CRUISE ITINERARY

Day 1, Saturday: Trogir – Maslnica – Stomorska

Individual arrival to Trogir. After check in on the motor yacht, the first crossing to the Island of Šolta starts at 1:30 pm. There we will start off with our first tour, which leads us past kilometers of stone dry stone walls, numerous olive groves, locust bean and fig trees. Sage and rosemary line the hidden paths and are the basis for the honey from the local beekeeper Goran, who, with wit and charm, brings us closer to the importance of bee’s lives. Short trails lead down to the sea and back to the ship, where we spend the evening in a charming harbor town.
Level A & B: Cycle route approx 20-25km; Altitude approx 300m

Day 2, Sunday: Stomorska – Milna – Postira

Today we will first bike on a wide gravel path along the coast of Brač. We bike past fish farms, old submarine bunkers and secret coves. As we bike up the mountain ridge in the middle of the island, magnificent views of the neighboring islands of Hvar, Vis and Šolta open up. Those who are interested can visit the former monastery, Blaža with its numerous relics. On the descent to Postira we take an impressive single trail across loose scree. The sound screams broken porcelain. And Alternatively a rapid descent with beautiful views of the mountainous mainland coast and the Cetina Canyon leads us down into the small village of Dol. After a cappuccino break we continue in the direction of the charming harbour of Postira. With good weather conditions we will enjoy one of the most amazing sunsets of the tour.
Level A: Cycle route approx 35km; Altitude approx 700m
Level B: Cycle route approx 25km; Altitude approx 400m

Day 3, Monday: Postira – Pučišća – Bol – Vis

During breakfast we cross to Pučišća. Here we start the kings stage to the highest point of all Adriatic islands. The path leads us past olive trees, herb meadows and typical karstic formations such as sinkholes. The view from the 780 m high Vidova Gora is unique. You can even have a look down on Bol and its landmark Zlatini Rat – the Golden Horn. The descent into the valley is either via a technically demanding single trail or down to Bol on wide paths with wide sweeping and stunning views. On the subsequent crossing to Vis, we can again look back to the peak and end of the day relaxing on board.
Level A: Cycle route approx 30km; Altitude approx 1,000m
Level B: Cycle route approx 45km; Altitude approx 600m

Day 4, Tuesday: Vis

Vis is the farthest most island from the Croatian mainland. Numerous gravel roads and hiking trails offer us mountain bikers fantastic opportunities to explore this treasurable island. Wonderful views and unique single trails make the island a paradise for biking. The trip to the top/peak of the island is a worthwhile recommendation for advanced bikers as an additional option. Whilst daydreaming of the trails and sharing your impressions, the ship takes us to the next haven on Korčula Island.
Level A: Cycle route approx 40km; Altitude approx 1,000m
Level B: Cycle route approx 30 km; Altitude approx 700m

Day 5, Wednesday: Vis – Vela Luka – Stari Grad

We start the day by following narrow paths along the shoreline. Through olive groves and the past stone terraces, we make our way to Blato. Strengthened from a coffee break we can bike back to Vela Luka on quiet side roads and flowy trails. Those who want to explore more, can bike to the viewpoint Hum. From there we can take a technical trail back to the harbour. Once back on the ship we set sail for Hvar.
Level A: Cycle route approx 45km; Altitude approx 1,200m
Level B: Cycle route approx 40 km; Altitude approx 600m

Day 6, Thursday: Stari Grad – Hvar – Stari Grad – Split

After breakfast we start from Stari Grad and bike to the top of the pass on an asphalt ascend to spare our strength. From there we can see Stari Grad and the ancient Greek wine fields of the island. Across gravel paths and trails, we reach the island’s capital of Hvar. Here we have the time to stroll through the streets, visit the Spanish fortress and watch the bustling city life from the comfort of a café. With picturesque views and many old houses, we continue on our bikes to a deserted village, where we wind our way through the town’s narrow alleyways. The ship awaits us at the end of the tour for a crossover to Split. Enjoy the special atmosphere of the vibrant city with its famous Diocletian’s Palace in the evening.
Level A: Cycle route approx 45km; Altitude approx 500m
Level B: Cycle route approx 40km; Altitude approx 500m

Day 7, Friday: Split – Trogir

We spend today’s morning in Split. At a whim we can either stroll through the alleys of Split or rock the trails of the Marijan; the local mountain of Split. The last crossing takes us past the cliffs of the Čiovo peninsula, where we, if the weather conditions permit, anchor with the ship and take a swimming break. Then we will have plenty of time to enjoy the World Heritage town of Trogir and its many streets and cafes.
Level A & B: Cycle route approx 15-25km; Altitude approx 320m

Day 8, Saturday: Trogir
