Vessels Description


MV Futura is a 47m long, 9m wide luxury vessel, with a cruising speed of 9 nautical miles. Built in 2013 with latest state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. Maximum capacity of 38 passengers in 19 twin or double cabins, guaranteeing an intimate setting for all guests. Cabins built by up-to-date standards, fully equipped with A/C, safe deposit box, fire alarm and audio system for announcements by the captain or Tour Director. In addition each cabin has life jackets, desk and tabouret, wardrobe, night stand, small sofa and a porthole window. Bathrooms are equipped with toilet, shower, wash basin and hair dryer. Some cabins have indoor passage access to the bar and restaurant area.

Disclaimer Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian ports, ships are moored side by side, making it necessary for the clients to cross from one ship to another with gaps in between ships in order to get to the shore. In such cases clients need to take special care when crossing and do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it.
Important Information  Captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions. Departures are guaranteed for minimum 10 participants. Cruise Operator reserves the right to cancel any departure with less than 10 participants and to change the ship name if need arises. Guests are obliged to follow ship rules (found in written form on the ship) especially with regards to bringing drinks on board. In case of inappropriate behavior Cruise Operator/Captain reserves the right in asking clients to disembark.

Day 1, Friday: Mestre (Venice)

Individual arrival to Hotel Russott in Mestre. Day at leisure and overnight.

Day 2, Saturday: Mestre (Venice) – Venice – Bled

Meeting point at the hotel reception at 10:00am. Departure towards Venice followed by sightseeing of this unique floating city. Enjoy a walking tour with an English speaking guide before returning back to land and continuing towards Slovenia. Dinner and overnight in the Bled area. (B, D)

Day 3, Sunday: Bled – Bohinj – Bled

Enjoy a relaxing tour of glacier Lake Bled, one of the most popular destinations in Slovenia for its picturesque setting. A boat ride to the island and a visit to Bled Castle. The terrace of the castle affords wonderful views of the lake and surrounding mountains – on a clear day you can see Slovenia’s highest mountain, Mount Triglav. Our final stop of the day will be the Lake Bohinj, one of the best kept secrets in the area, which will give you abundance of photo ops, as will the entire day. Overnight on Lake Bled. (B)

Day 4, Monday: Bled – Klagenfurt – Wörth Lake – Bled

Today we visit the neighbour country of Austria, which means this day will offer plenty of views of the Alps, impressive at any time of the year. In the historic county of Carinthia, enjoy a panoramic tour of popular vacation spot, the 20 km long Lake Wörth. We continue to the charming Klagenfurt, University town with the beautiful Lindworm fountain dominating the old city square, the Altplatz. After the visit, and before returning to Bled, we drive to a lunch on the shore of Worth Lake. Overnight in Bled. (B, L)

Day 5, Tuesday: Bled – Postojna & Predjama Castle – Rovinj

Today we continue our trip towards Croatia and stop at the Postojna Caves. One of the largest underground caves system in Europe hides wondrous geological creations and is home of the olm. Next destination, Renaissance Predjama Castle situated on a high cliff, tells the 700 years old story of its predecessors and Postojna. Arrival to the enchanting coastal town of Rovinj in the late afternoon. Overnight in Rovinj. (B)

Day 6, Wednesday: Rovinj – Istria Tour – Rovinj

Our day will start with sightseeing one of the most romantic towns in Istria – Rovinj. A walk through labyrinths of cobbled streets of “Venice in a small”, will lead you through some of the most picturesque streets in Istria and numerous galleries of unique art pieces. At the hilltop, we will visit the dominating Basilica of St Euphemia and can enjoy the stunning panorama views. Departure towards Livade for a sample of one of the tastiest Istrian treasures, the truffle. The rest of the day offers a unique sensory experience – olive oil tasting rich in green scent and flavour of various sorts of extra virgin olive oils at one of the most renowned local producers. Afterwards you visit one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the world, the jewel of Pula, a 3000-year-old city, administrative centre of Istria. Overnight in Rovinj. (B, T, T)

Day 7, Thursday: Rovinj – Opatija – Lake Bajer – Plitvice Lakes

Travelling from Croatia’s biggest peninsula, we drive through Opatija. You will have time at leisure to enjoy this wonderful little town full of magnificent villas and old hotels, once famous winter resort of Austrian elite. Take a stroll through Lungomare promenade, visit Angiolina park, or simply enjoy a coffee break at Wagner’s terrace. After we pass Gorski Kotar Region we arrive to a picturesque little place Fuzine to explore the Vrelo Cave. With everlasting impressions from the green lungs of Croatia, lunch that is awaiting us at the heart warming restaurant Bitoraj, will be the blend of the traditional, homemade food of the region. Through the lush green scenery, the trip continues to water empire of Plitvice Lakes. Overnight in the Plitvice area. (B, L, D)

Day 8, Friday: Plitvice Lakes – Split

After breakfast, let yourself be carried away by the fascinating labyrinth of evergreen woods and lakes interconnected with stunning waterfalls. The UNESCO protected oldest Croatian national park proudly carries the title of one of world’s most impressive national parks. Our journey continues towards Split for a short evening walk through the UNESCO World Heritage site, the largest city on the Adriatic coast. On our walking tour we explore Diocletian’s Palace, built by the Roman emperor Diocletian at the turn of the 4th century and see the Grgur Ninski Statue and will see the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St Domnius. Farewell dinner in a typical Dalmatian restaurant – konoba. Overnight in Split. (B, D)

Day 9, Saturday: Split

After breakfast, transfer to Split Port where the vessel will be docked. Check in from 14.00h onwards. After settling, enjoy the guided tour of the city (not possible for arrivals after 16.00h). Split is a historic town under UNESCO protection and a part of the world heritage. One will find an abundance of Roman architecture – of special interest is the magnificent Diocletian palace, once inhabited by the Roman emperor. After the tour of Split, return to the ship for a welcome reception & cocktail. Overnight in Split. (B, D)

Day 10, Sunday: Split – Korčula

Early morning departure towards the Korčula island best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Early afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town with fortified walls. On this Island you can find more legends, tales and monuments than anywhere else while you wander along the herringbone pattern streets. Korčula has an abundant choice of restaurants where you can continue your gourmet experience and there are many bars and clubs for those looking for evening entertainment. Overnight in Korčula. Day 11, Monday: Korčula – Mljet – Dubrovnik

Next morning we head further south to the Island of Mljet. Join the cruise manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park and enjoy the boat ride to the St Mary Isle, where you will visit an ancient Benedictine monastery, an old abbey and a Church dating from the 12th century. Alternatively, you can rent kayaks, bicycles, scooters or convertible cars to roam around the National Park or island on your own. Return to the ship for lunch followed by departure towards Dubrovnik. Late afternoon arrival in Dubrovnik, but before we tie the ropes at Gruž harbour the captain will take you for an evening cruise along side the old city walls while a buffet dinner is served on deck. Enjoy the spectacular views of this magnificent old town. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B, L, D)

Day 12, Tuesday: Dubrovnik

After breakfast transfer to the old town for the guided walking tour to enjoy this magical town. You will have the opportunity to take best pictures of the town of Dubrovnik as we take the cable car from the Old Town to Srđ mountain to enjoy scenic views of the Walls and Elaphiti Islands. Afternoon at leisure to find idyllic spots for lunch and dinner. For those of you with more enthusiasm, we recommend to walk the famous walls 1,940 m long and take a stroll along the walking street Stradun – both a street and a square, a promenade inside the city walls. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B)

Day 13, Wednesday: Dubrovnik – Elaphiti Islands – Kućište – Kuna – Kućište

Morning departure from this magnificent town and continue our cruise towards the little seaside village of Kučišće (or similar) on the Pelješac peninsula, well known for its excellent wine. Before lunch a short stop at one of the Elaphiti Islands and afternoon arrival to Kučišće. Today we move away from the shore inland to explore the rural areas. Afternoon transfer to the village Kuna followed by a visit to a local farm you will indulge in a typical village party with Croatian delicacies, an all-inclusive dinner with local dishes made from their own produce. Late transfer back to the ship. Overnight in Kučišće. (B, L, D)

Day 14, Thursday: Kućište – Šćedro – Hvar

Morning departure towards the jet-set island Hvar. Lunch stop on the small Island of Šćedro followed by a swim stop at the Pakleni Islands. Arrival to Hvar in the afternoon. Hvar is the longest Island in the Adriatic and one of the sunniest; known for lavish lavender fields and breathtaking beauty. Upon arrival there will be a short presentation of lavender products followed by a tour of the town. One can find many historical landmarks in Hvar: the Renaissance cathedral with its original tower, and the oldest community theatre in Europe which was founded in 1612. Hike up to the town fort overlooking the harbour to get some lovely scenic views of your ship and the Pakleni islands. In the evening Hvar offers an abundance of entertainment – many restaurants, bars and cafes are open long into the night. Overnight in Hvar. (B, L)

Day 15, Friday: Hvar – Bol or Milna (Brač)

Our final stop will be the Island of Brač and picturesque town of Bol. Walk along the promenade or swim at one of the most famous beaches in Dalmatia – Zlatni Rat (the Golden cape – known for its gravel promontory shifts from side to side as the wind and waves constantly change its shape). Bol is a typical fishermen’s town turned into a popular tourist destination. After lunch on board time at leisure until afternoon wine tasting in the facilities of the oldest Dalmatia wine cooperative (dating 1903) followed by the Captain’s farewell dinner with entertainment on board. Overnight in Bol or nearby Milna. (B, L, D)

Day 16, Saturday: Bol or Milna (Brač) – Split

Early morning departure for Split and on arrival it is time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends! Check out by 9.00am and a private transfer to Split airport. (B)
