Vessel Description

MS Prestige Boasting modern facilities expected of a brand new vessel, the MS Prestige has an abundance of space and comfortable living areas; the salon features large windows and comfortable seating, bar, music system, and dining facilities with an outdoor terrace. The majority of leisure time on-board is spent on the fantastic ‘Sun Deck’, a huge 250 square meters with whirlpool, relaxed sun chairs/loungers, large shaded area and background music. To make the most of every swimming opportunity there is a platform with a ladder for easy access to the water.

Important Information

Check in DUBROVNIK on SATURDAYS from 12 noon (first night in Gruž Harbour)  
Captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions. Departures are guaranteed for minimum 10 participants. Cruise Operator reserves the right to cancel any departure with less than 10 participants and to change the ship name if need arises. Guests are obliged to follow ship rules (found in written form on the ship) especially with regards to bringing drinks on board. In case of inappropriate behavior Cruise Operator/Captain reserves the right in asking clients to disembark. Most arrival times in port are in the late afternoon. Times to be advised during cruise

Due to specific mooring conditions and requirements in some Croatian ports, ships are moored side by side, making it necessary for the clients to cross from one ship to another with gaps in between ships in order to get to the shore. In such cases clients need to take special care when crossing and do this at their own risk. Crew assistance will be given to those needing and requesting it.

Day 1, Saturday: Dubrovnik

You will be transferred from Dubrovnik Airport or your Dubrovnik hotel to Gruž Harbour, where embarkation begins at noon. Meet your fellow travellers and your Cruise Director later at an onboard Welcome Reception. This evening, you can relax or take a walk through Dubrovnik’s vibrant streets. (WR)

Day 2, Sunday: Dubrovnik – Mljet

Start the day with a walking tour of Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of Adriatic” and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll visit the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Monastery’s Pharmacy before returning to the ship for lunch. As you dine, set sail for Mljet Island. Mljet National Park encompasses five types of forest, many species of birds, and two deep lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake). Evening at leisure. (B, L)

Day 3, Monday: Mljet – Korčula

After breakfast continue cruising to Korčula, believed to be the birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. walking tour of Korčula takes you through its narrow, cobbled streets and includes a visit to the majestic Gothic-Baroque Cathedral of St. Mark. (B, L)

Day 4, Tuesday: Korčula – Vela Luka

This morning we sail along the beautiful island of Korčula, including time for swimming. After lunch onboard, disembark in Vela Luka and depart for an afternoon ‘Korčula island tour’, featuring the visit of the olive oil factory, Barilo ethno museum and local winery to taste some local wine and cheese. Return to your ship, for evening at leisure. (B, L, T)

Day 5, Wednesday: Vela Luka – Vis

Cruise towards Vis island. The town Vis, the antique Issa, was founded around 397 B.C. Our tour of Vis features the town’s waterfront. Evening at leisure. (B, L)

Day 6, Thursday: Vis – Hvar – Stari Grad

Continue our cruise towards Hvar, one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jet-set. The “Croatian Madeira” is also one of the longest islands stretching along the shores of Croatia. A sightseeing tour of Hvar town shows you the first public theatre in Europe (older than Shakespeare’s theatre in the UK), the Franciscan Monastery and many more historical sights. Sail on to Stari Grad for the night. Captain’s dinner with live entertainment aboard our ship tonight. (B, L, D)

Day 7, Friday: Stari Grad – Bol – Split

Sail to Bol, home to one of the best beaches in Croatia, the Golden Horn. This vast, golden pebble beach is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Over lunch on board, continue sailing to Split. Here, a walking tour shows off the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Your evening is free in Split. (B, L)

Day 8, Saturday: Split – Plitvice – Opatija

Disembark after breakfast, bidding your crew farewell. Journey north for a visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Have your camera ready as you take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder with its 16 terraced lakes surrounded by wooded mountains and lush vegetation. Then continue to Opatija for a walk along the “Lungo Mare” (Seaside Promenade), and see the city’s famous villas and other interesting sights. Dinner is at your hotel. (B, D)

Day 9, Sunday: Opatija – Pula – Rovinj – Opatija

Head to Pula and take an orientation tour of this strategic port since the times of the ancient Romans. You’ll also visit the Amphitheater, the sixth largest of its kind to be preserved in the world today. Continue on to the beautiful resort of Rovinj. There’s free time to explore the old town and its narrow lanes before we return to Opatija. (B)

Day 10, Monday: Opatija – Postojna – Venice

After breakfast, travel to Slovenia and visit the unique and beautiful Postojna Cave, one of the largest in Europe. Tour this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Continue to Venice, with its idyllic setting on 119 islands. (B)

Day 11, Tuesday: Venice

We begin our exploration of Venice with a boat ride to the Murano Island, famous for its artistic glassware. Visit a glassblowing factory, where you will watch a demonstration of traditional Venetian glassblowing by master craftsmen. Then, on to St. Mark’s Square, for the walking tour, visiting St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, and enjoying views of the Bell Tower and Bridge of Sighs. The balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy Venice at your own pace, shop, or perhaps join an optional gondola ride. Later, gather for a Farewell Dinner with new friends. (B, D)

Day 12, Wednesday: Venice

You will be transferred to Venice’s airport for your flight home. (B)
