CRUISE ITINERARY

Day 1, Saturday: Dubrovnik

You will be transferred from Dubrovnik Airport or your Dubrovnik hotel to Gruž Harbour, where embarkation begins at noon. Meet your fellow travellers and your Cruise Director later at an on board welcome reception. This evening, you can relax or take a walk through Dubrovnik’s vibrant streets. (WR)

Day 2, Sunday: Dubrovnik – Mljet

Start the day with a walking tour of Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of Adriatic” and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll visit the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Monastery’s Pharmacy before returning to the boat for lunch. As you dine, set sail for Mljet Island. Mljet National Park encompasses five types of forests, many species of birds, and two deep lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake). Evening at leisure. (B, L)

Day 3, Monday: Mljet – Korčula

After morning of enjoying the spectacular scenery, continue cruising to Korčula, believed to be the birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. Walking tour of Korčula takes you through its narrow, cobbled streets and includes a visit to the majestic Gothic-Baroque Cathedral of St Mark. (B, L)

Day 4, Tuesday: Korčula – Vela Luka

Board your boat for lunch and a swim stop enroute. Later this afternoon, arrive in Vela Luka, town dating back to pre-historic times. We will see a valuable archaeological collection of objects on display in the Culture Centre Museum that have been found in the nearby “Vela Spilja”, the cave that has been continuously inhabited from the early Stone Age (about 20,000 BC), through the Iron Age and Copper Age. (B, L)

Day 5, Wednesday: Vela Luka – Vis

Cruise towards island of Vis and a town of the same name. The antique Issa was founded about 397 BC. Our tour of Vis features the town’s waterfront. Evening is at leisure. (B, L)

Day 6, Thursday: Vis – Hvar – Stari Grad (Hvar)

Continue our cruise towards Hvar, one of the most popular islands on the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jet-set. The “Croatian Madeira” is also one of the longest islands, stretching along the shores of Croatia. A sightseeing tour of Hvar town shows you the first public theatre in Europe (older than Shakespeare’s theatre in the UK), the Franciscan Monastery and many more historical sights. Sail on to Stari Grad for overnight. Tonight, enjoy a Captain’s dinner aboard our ship with live entertainment. (B, L, D)

Day 7, Friday: Stari Grad (Hvar) – Bol (Brač) – Split

Sail to Bol, home to one of the best beaches in Croatia, the Golden Horn. This vast, golden pebble beach is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Over lunch on board, continue sailing to Split. Here, a walking tour shows off the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Your evening is free in Split. (B, L)

Day 8, Saturday: Split

After breakfast it’s time to disembark. You will be transferred to the airport or your Split hotel. (B)
